Day 1:  Depart Los Angeles  
Your fascinating journey begins today with your overnight flight from LAX to Greece.

Day 2: Athens, Greece. 
Arrive at Athens airport, where you’ll be met by A.C.T. representatives and escorted to your hotel.  Balance of the day at leisure.

The Acropolis

Day 3: Athens. 
Half-day morning city tour
includes highlights of Athens and the Acropolis archaeological site. Optional tours include to mystical Delphi, or an afternoon excursion to Cape Sounion. (B)

Day 4:  Athens/cruising 
(Set sail at 6:00 p.m.) 
Morning at leisure to shop the Plaka district or for other independent pursuits.  Afternoon transfer to the ancient port of Piraeus and to your Louis Lines ship, Cristal.  Dinner on board. (B,D)

Day 5 & 6: Istanbul, Turkey 
(arrive at 4 pm, depart 7 pm next day) Explore vibrant Istanbul, which spans 2 continents.  Don’t miss visiting the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, St. Sopia, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar.  (B,L,D)

Day 7:  Mykonos Greece
(3 p.m.-midnight)  Nine hours in Mykonos, known for its beautiful beaches, jet-set atmosphere, whitewashed buildings, hundreds of tiny churches, wooden windmills, chic shops and outdoor cafes.  (B,L,D)

Day 8:  Patmos, Greece
(7 a.m.-10:30 a.m.) Patmos is where St. John wrote Revelations.  Optional shore excursion to the Monastery of St. John, to visit the cave where he lived (actual bed and writing lectern have survived the ages!)  (B,L,D)

Day 8: Kusadasi, Turkey
(2:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.)  Afternoon arrival in Kusadasi, Turkey, site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis.  Wander through the famous bazaars or opt to tour remarkable Ephesus, a city that once rivaled Rome, and the House of the Virgin Mary, recognized by the Vatican as her final resting place. Day 9:  Rhodes, Greece
(7 a.m.-6 p.m.) 
Full day on the island of Roses, site of the Colossus of Rhodes (another Ancient Wonder) and a bastion of the Crusaders.  You may wish to visit the island’s majestic Acropolis at picturesque Lindos.  (B,L,D)

Day 10:  Crete, Greece
(7 a.m.-11:30 a.m.)
  Morning arrival at Port Nikolaos, Crete. Crete (Herklion) is the island in Greece where European civilization (Minoan Empire) began.  Opportunity to visit the Palace of Knossos. (B,L,D)

Day 10:  Santorini, Greece
(5 p.m.-9 p.m.)  Sail into mythical Santorini this afternoon.  The village is perched on the rim of an ancient volcano and is believed by many to be the site of the Lost Continent of Atlantis.  (B,L,D)

Day 11:  Athens-U.S.A.
(Arrival 6 a.m.) 
Return this morning to the port of Piraeus.  Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to LAX, arriving the same day. (B)
