Introducing
the 110,000-ton Carnival Glory

An immense floating resort with large-scale amenities, the Carnival Glory boasts a sprawling 15,000-square-foot health and beauty center on the Spa Deck, complete with Serenity adults-only retreat, fitness areas, sauna and steam rooms, and salon.  A variety of entertainment venues—among them a piano bar, dance club, wine bar, sports bar, casino and show lounge—promise fun evenings for all guests.  Dining options include a reservations-only steakhouse supper club, a pair of two-level dining rooms, a casual poolside eatery, patisserie and sushi bar.  Available around the clock are pizza, ice cream and complimentary room service.  All staterooms feature high-thread-count linens and duvet, custom pillows, fine cotton towels and terry cloth robes from Carnival’s Comfort Bed Collection, as well as soft carpeting, indirect lighting, and lots of closet space.  Nearly 60 percent of the ship’s 1,487 staterooms offer ocean views, and more than half of those feature balconies.

Day 1:  Palm Springs/New York
Your vacation begins this morning when you fly from Palm Springs to NYC, arriving in the afternoon.  Welcome to the Big Apple! You will be met and transferred to your 4-star hotel, THE NOVOTEL TIMES SQUARE (or similar).

Day 2: New York.
Day at leisure.
New York offers an endless array of things to do:  Visit fabulous museums, window-shop along Fifth Avenue, stroll Central Park, ride to the 86th-floor observatory of the Empire State Building, or catch a Broadway show.  Or, soak up the sights and sounds of one of its neighborhoods, whether it’s avant-garde Greenwich Village, stylish SoHo, bustling Chinatown, or the fashionable Upper West Side.

Day 3:   New York/Cruising.
Morning at leisure.  This afternoon, transfer to your luxurious “floating hotel,”
Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Glory, and set forth on your voyage at 4:00 p.m.  Sailing out of New York Harbor is an unforgettable experience—your ship glides past the familiar skyline and, of course, the Statue of Liberty.  (L,D)

Day 4:  At Sea.
Enjoy the many amenities aboard your cruise ship.  (B,L,D)

Day 5:  Boston, MA.
8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. This historic Massachusetts City, founded in 1630, is best explored on foot; follow the three-mile Freedom Trail for a sampling of 16 historic sites such as the Old North Church, the Paul Revere House and Faneuil Hall.  At the trail’s end, you can visit the USS Constitution, also known as “Old Ironsides.”  Other options:  Visit museums or Cambridge, home to Harvard; or stop by the Bull & Finch Pub—it inspired the TV show “Cheers.” (B,L,D)

Day 6:  Portland, ME.
8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Portland, a seafarer town, offers an active arts district, museums, a vital waterfront and diverse shopping opportunities, and drives through scenic New England mountains. (B,L,D)

Day 7:  Saint John, NB, Canada.
7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Saint John is located in the southern portion of this Canadian coastal province, where the Saint John River meets the Bay of Fundy.  Historically, the city has been a hub of commercial port activity, and attractions like Old City Market, Market Square and an abundance of museums pay tribute to that tradition.  The outstanding New Brunswick Museum is the oldest continuously operating museum in Canada.  Rockwood Park, in the heart of the city, houses a zoo, a golf course, freshwater lakes and hiking trails.  Look for the famous Reversing Falls, a phenomenon caused by the enormous rise and fall of the tides in the Bay of Fundy.  (B,L,D)

Day 8:  Halifax, NS, Canada.
9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
This city’s seafaring roots run deep.  Displays at the Maritime Museum include models of vessels and a Titanic exhibit.  Excursions visit the Citadel National Historic Park, the Nova Scotia Museum, St. Paul’s Anglican Church and the historic Properties.  Many tourists make the short trip to the Bay of Fundy or Peggy’s Cove.  (B,L,D)

Day 9:   At sea.  Enjoy the many amenities aboard your cruise ship.  (B,L,D)

Day 10:   NYC/Palm Springs.  9:00 a.m. From the ship, transfer to the airport for your flight home. Arrive at PSP at 7:00 p.m.
