Day 1: Depart this evening from Los Angeles International Airport aboard Swiss Air and fly
non-stop to Zurich.

Day 2: ZURICH, SWITZERLAND. Arrive in
Zurich this afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: ZURICH-DUBAI. Morning free. In the afternoon, fly to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, arriving in the evening, and transfer to your luxury Costa Cruises’ ship, Costa Victoria . Unpack and settle into your room for the next seven nights. (D)

Day 4: DUBAI, U.A.E. Located at an ancient trade crossroads between East and West, Dubai has long attracted visitors from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Known as the Venice of the Persian Gulf, modern Dubai is famed for its international ambience and exotic, cosmopolitan lifestyle. Little wonder that Dubai’s most famous landmark is the world renowned luxury hotel, Burj Al Arab, noted for its billowing sail design. Day 5: MUSCAT, OMAN. A major Arabian trading port since the 6th Century B.C., Muscat is the capital of Oman. Be sure to see Al Alam, the Sultan’s Palace in Old Muscat, built just a few years ago in the style of classic Arabic artistry. Bargain for antiques in one of the many bustling souks (markets). Day 6: FUJAIRAH, U.A.E. Fujairah is a mountainous and modern city near Dubai offering a unique combination of ancient traditions and modern conveniences. Jetskiing, windsurfing, and waterskiing are popular activities, as is hiking in the nearby wadis (oases). (B,L,D)

Day 7: ABU DHABI, U.A.E. This capital city lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Gulf. With a history going back 5,000 years, Abu Dhabi is now a wealthy metropolis of gleaming skyscrapers, urbane culture and lush gardens. (B,L,D)

Day 8: MANAMA, BAHRAIN. Bahrain is a modern Gulf island state that was once the capital of one of antiquity’s great trading empires. Its rich history, fascinating museums, natural attractions, souks and mosques offer limitless sightseeing. (B,L,D)

Day 9: DUBAI, U.A.E. Enjoy an afternoon and evening in Dubai, one of the world’s most up and coming destinations. Some not-to-be-missed attractions: the historic Bastakia Quarter, Dubai Emirates Mall (containing an indoor ski slope), Dubai Heritage Village, and the gold and spice souks. (B,L,D)

Day 10: DUBAI. The entire day is free to enjoy Dubai. At 9:00 p.m., transfer to the airport for your flight back to Los Angeles. (B, L, D)

Day 11: ZURICH-LOS ANGELES. Depart after midnight and, connecting in Zurich, continue to L.A., arriving late afternoon of the same day.
