Day 1: DEPART LOS ANGELES Your exciting journey begins today when you board China Eastern Airlines’ non-stop flight to vibrant Shanghai, the most modern and progressive city on the mainland of the People’s Republic of China.

Day 2: SHANGHAI, CHINA/CRUISING. Welcome to Shanghai! You will be met by our A.C.T. representative and transferred from Pudong Airport to the harbor port, where you will board your “floating hotel” for the next 5 days, the sleek Costa Classica. Settle into your stateroom and enjoy the impressive view of the modern skyline as you sail away at 7 p.m. (D)

Day 3: CRUISING CHINA SEA. An entire day at sea to enjoy the amenities of your cruise ship, including a spa and fitness center, two swimming pools, casino, shopping gallery, library, numerous restaurants and cafes, and theaters. (B,L,D)

Day 4: FUKUOKA, JAPAN. 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Fukuoka, the largest city on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu, was the home of the samurai and is today a modern city, busy and bustling. Nagasaki is accessible from here, and Fukuoka is also home to Mount Aso, an active volcano boasting the world’s largest caldera, stretching 11 miles wide. (B,L,D)

Day 5: CHEJU, SOUTH KOREA. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Cheju, also known as the “ Island of the Gods,” is the top honeymoon destination for Korean newlyweds. The island’s mixture of volcanic rock, temperate climate, pineapple fields, majestic waterfalls, and white sandy beaches make it very similar to the Hawaiian Islands. (B,L,D)

Day 6: CRUISING/SHANGHAI. Disembark at 10 a.m. Your orientation tour of China’s commercial capital includes the delightful Yu Gardens, noted for the wonderful combination of stone and water. Pass Shanghai’s renowned shopping street, Nanjing Road, and walk through the bustling waterfront area of the Bund, lined with magnificent European-stylebuildings, many dating from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Afternoon check-in at your first class hotel. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner, followed by a show featuring the famous Shanghai Acrobats. HOTEL DORURE (or similar) (B,D)

Day 7: SHANGHAI. After breakfast, tourthe Shanghai Museum, rich with collections of dynastic artifacts. Then proceed to the Jade Buddah Temple, for a glimpse of Buddhist traditions in Chinas. Lunch at an authentic Mongolian BBQ. Rest of the day at leisure. (B,L)

Day 8: SHANGHAI/SUZHOU. Transfer by bus to Suzhou, the canal-laced city revered by Marco Polo. Afternoon sightseeing includes touring the Lingering Garden, cruising down the 1,000-mile long Grand Canal, and visiting a working silk factory and the Embroidery Research Institute. Enjoy a special evening concert at one of the Suzhou’s famous gardens. CASTLE HOTEL(B)

Day 9: SUZHOUS/SHANGHAI. Morning free to explore the beautiful town on your own. This afternoon, experience the fabled China Railway, as you ride the soft seat train back to Shanghai. Evening at leisure. HOTEL DORURE(B)

Day 10: SHANGHAI/LAX. Following breakfast, your memorable Asian vacation ends when you transfer to Pudong Airport for your non-stop flight to Los Angeles, arriving the same day. (B)
