It all begins
with an idea.

Thirty years ago, A.C.T. founder Steve Kanold organized his first group tour to Europe for 22 German students and three chaperones, sparking an appreciation for both American and foreign cultures. The success led to a second tour with more adults, launching a new career in group travel. In 1989, after moving to Coachella Valley, Kanold created the “Global Classroom” for Palm Springs Adult School, offering tours to diverse destinations like China, Greece, Italy, Panama, and Branson, MO. In 1995, Adult School Travel became Adult Customized Tours (A.C.T.), an independent corporation. Steve has since traveled to nearly 140 countries across all seven continents. He brings a plethora of experience to planning customized tours.
